RESTAURANT SUCULENT, in Barcelona, is the new culinary adventure of one
star Michelin Master Chef Carles Abellan, with his partner Javier
"Coto".
Chefs Armando Anta, (Restaurants Mugaritz, Alkimia, Aroca
Gatro), and Antonio Romero, (Restaurants El Bulli, Arzak, Pic de Valence), are
joining them in this exquisite culinary endeavor.
RESTAURANT SUCULENT with Barcelona Bakery Forn de Sant Josep, provided us with the recipe of "La Coca de
Sant Joan" - Traditional Catalan pastry served at "La Revetlla de
Sant Joan" - our traditional Summer Solstice Celebration.
BAKERY LA MARJOLAINE, in New York City, is an european bakery owned by Mr. Krim Debbah. In Queens, at La Marjolaine, France, Catalonia, and Mexico teamed up together to enhance the flavors of the "Coca" (Catalan pastry).
A sample of a real "Coca" from Barcelona, just landed in JFK that same day we baked, and was delivered to us to be used as a model of authenticity.
